John Chapter 3 Verse 16 says: "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life".BlueLetterBible
The above quote is what God (the Father, Son and Holy Spirit) did for you and me. God the Father sent His only Son Jesus to be the sacrifice for all of mankind, and all we have to do is to ask Jesus into our lives.

Jesus said in John Chapter 14 verse 6 'Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me". BlueLetterBible

Here Jesus is saying that the only way to the Father is through Him. John Chapter 1 Verse 1 says: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God". BlueLetterBible In this verse the word "Word" is a reference to the Christ whose name is Jesus. It is saying that at the very beginning of time, Christ was there. If we read further down in John Chapter 1, in verse 14 it says: " And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth". Here it is talking about the Word, or Christ, being made a man, called Jesus, or as it says, "Made flesh" and living with His creation - man.

What an amazing thing to read. God the Creator, loves His created so much that He sends the Christ, (who was given the name Jesus), to earth for the forgiveness of our sins so that we can come into His presence. His creation - mankind, listened to Jesus and saw the wonderful things He did, yet still wanted Him dead. To die a death on a cross. But this was all of God's plan. He loved us so much, that Jesus became the sacrifice for us and He was the one that took the punishment for our sins. We should have been the ones that were punished, because we are the ones that commit sin. Jesus was sinless. Yet whilst He was dying on the cross, His Father saw Him as being pure sin; the sin that you and I created. We held Him at the cross with our sin.

The good news is that Jesus was raised from the dead, by His Father, so that you and I can live with God in heaven. He was the sacrifice for our sins. He paid the price for our sins. He is the reason that we are able to be with the Father in heaven for all of eternity.

And even more amazing, is that for us to be a child of God, we don't have to change. We come just as we are. Asking Jesus into our lives and He will accept us; with our many faults. With the many things that we have done, knowing that they are wrong. God doesn't care! He will accept us into His family and slowly show us how we can change. Because He loves everyone of us.

Come, say this prayer and ask Jesus into your life:

Dear God.

I know that I am a sinner. I don't deserve to be with you for all eternity. But You want me to be with You because You love me. I am guilty of ignoring you, but I want this to change. I need your forgiveness.

I want to stop living life my way. I believe that Jesus died for my sins and was raised from the dead to give me new life. I now acknowledge Jesus as the ruler of my life and know that He is King of Kings.

Help me to love You and make me clean in Your sight.

Amen.

Welcome to God's family :)
